Countdown to the Holidays

I just became a Stampin' Up demonstrator so I could keep my hand in the stamp world (used to own "Stamp Oasis" in Las Vegas) and have Autumn/Holiday fever already! Here's a little something I made:

This uses the new Holiday set "Peaceful Poinsettias" and the matching dies for an elegant look.

I started by randomly die cutting the holly out of whisper white CS then sponging the pieces in Shaded Spruce. I then placed them back in but first getting a little bit of glue and lightly rubbing the edges- Be careful not to get the ink activated from the glue and get some ink on your main card!

I also ran the inset piece inside wax paper to press everything back down.

Then trim the edges and layer over gold card. I sponged the green layer then put the whole thing on a white card. I gold embossed the sentiment on vellum and highlighted the edges to get a really soft look, then backed it on white card. It is then attached with dimensionals.

Next time I may keep the berries and sponge them red for a pop of color...til next time!
